Taken on Good Friday, 26 March 2005. Part of the Holy Week art theme submission for ~ArtistsDen.
There were two really bright flourescent lamps on either side of the Crucified Christ which almost ruined the photo beyond repair. I tried applying some lighting effects using Photoshop to minimize the effects of those lights on the photo.
the composition and subject turned out pretty well (better than i expected, and that's what's fun about photography sometimes); but the lighting was really bad in the original print. it's good i was able to salvage the photo, somewhat. thanks be to photoshop.
it probably took me two or three seconds; i've set the camera to auto-programming so i didn't manually set the shutter speed settings.
i really had no choice because i didn't have the flash unit so i had to make do with the available lighting (which was pretty bad in the original print); and i had to keep my hand steady the whole time because i didn't have a tripod (this was a spontaneous shot).
i'm glad the photo turned out better than i expected. glad you liked it, too. thanks again. ^^

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
